Restaurant Griselle, located on the malecon, or boardwalk, in the small fishing village of Hucares (hoo - kah- ress), is one of the best seafood restaurants on the eastern end of the island.
Chef/owner Miguel Castro is very good with fish, but specializes in preparation of Caribbean spiny lobster (see photo). The lobster tank is prominent in the restaurant, and patrons pick out the lobster they'd like to enjoy.

While waiting for their meals, patrons can sit with their cocktails on the front deck with a view of the malecon and the calm sea beyond. Also make sure to check out the photos of the manatee climbing into Miguel's boat - they're under glass on the tables inside the dining room - and ask Miguel to tell you the story.
Directions: To reach Griselle, take 191 to 31, then take 53 north to exit 13. Turn right at the stop sign, towards Humacao. At the fork in the road, turn left. This road will bring you down into Hucares. When you reach the ocean, Griselle is immediately to your left, on the corner.
